TRAVEL WITH CONFIDENCE: 8th trip
Join the Tango Holidays and explore the capital of Buenos Aires like a true milonguero. Enjoy the end of the Argentine summer, and say goodbye to the winter blues!
This holiday is organised for tango dancers by a tango dancer who has lived in Buenos Aires: the teachers, activities and milongas are chosen for their quality and authenticity. It is a total immersive experience to help you take a big step forward in your tango. The goal ? To get more dances and better dances in milongas when you return home.
Buenos Aires, a city that has always seduced, attracted and fascinated…
Buenos Aires and its architecturally diverse neighbourhoods: La Boca and its colourful shacks, Recoleta, the chic district of the capital, Palermo and its narrow cobbled streets. Each district of South America’s most Parisian capital has its own atmosphere and personality.
Buenos Aires and its simple yet refined cuisine: bife de lomo, Malbec, empanadas, dulce de leche, ice cream… So many promises and delights: sweet, savoury, there’s something for everyone…
For tango dancers, of course, Buenos Aires vibrates even more intensely. Does this city ever sleep?
Milongas, maestro shows, live orchestras, classes… Not to mention shopping trips : tango shoes, music and clothing! Tango is an essential part of the city: you can hear it in cafés and taxis, and see it danced by street artists on Calle Florida.
When you’re not dancing, the whirlwind goes on and on, arms are entwined and eyes sparkle.
The tango holiday in Buenos Aires: the best way to experience the city intensely.
A small group trip to experience the city like a local.
“Without the streets and sunsets of Buenos Aires, it’s impossible to compose a tango.”
Jorge Luis Borges
Trip description
As soon as you arrive, dive into the vibrant energy of Buenos Aires. Here’s the first piece of good news: no double occupancy hotel rooms for you! You’ll be staying in a private studio flat—your own space to relax and recharge. Once you unpack, this lively city will start revealing all its secrets. From the welcome dinner to tango shopping sessions and excursions, every moment is crafted to immerse you in the local culture. The classes follow a carefully structured pedagogical approach, ensuring your progress step by step. The milongas have been thoughtfully chosen for their authenticity and variety: get ready to be swept away by orchestras playing as they did in the golden age of tango and by the breathtaking performances of the top maestros.

Ignacio Varchausky
Bass player with El Arranque
Ignacio Varchausky is passionate about tango and Argentina’s history.
Obsessed by the loss of tradition, he created a tango orchestra that also stands as a school for the new generation. This unique project brings together the maestros of tango’s golden era and young musicians, with the aim of passing on the secrets of the music to future generations.
Ignacio is renowned for his musicality seminars, which are key to listening and interpreting tango properly. His skills and knowledge go hand in hand with his unique sense of humour.
Nathalie Rodriguez
Tango teacher
Tango is a story that began for Nathalie in 2000. In 2011, Nathalie opened Tanguito, a London tango school that quickly made a name for itself with its solid teaching methods and big heart. Its milongas ares some of the city’s most welcoming balls.
In 2018, Nathalie moved to Buenos Aires to continue training in the technique, musicality and history of tango with internationally renowned teachers.
This is how she developed her pedagogy, based on over 10 years’ experience and extensive knowledge of tango culture, music and current dance techniques.

Why join the tango trip to Buenos Aires?
EXPERIENCE THE CITY TO THE FULL AS SOON AS YOU LAND
There are about as many tango schools in Buenos Aires as there are Starbucks in New York… Around 30 milongas each night, some of which are tourist traps… Almost as many tango techniques as there are teachers. Not to mention the hidden rules of the milongas… It’s hard to find your way around when you arrive for a few weeks’ holiday…
The first time I went to Buenos Aires, it was on a solo holiday, and I started to understand the city just as I was leaving! That’s what gave me the idea of organising this Tango Holiday.
I want your trip to Buenos Aires to be enjoyable and fruitful, and I want you to encounter the essence of tango on your very first day. I’ve lived in Buenos Aires, I go back there very frequently so you can count on me for good tips, unique experiences and little-known places!
In 2025, this will be my 8th trip. Over 200 people have already trusted me for their tango holidays.

Testimonials
“Her passion for tango and her enthusiasm, as well as her excellent organisational skills, also shine through in the many tango holidays she has organised and led (most of which I have personally been on!).
In particular, the fact that she lived in Buenos Aires, counts many of the most accomplished and famous Argentinean professional tango dancers and teachers as her friends and is fluent in Spanish means that she is an unparalleled guide, combining personal experience and in-depth knowledge of both European and Argentinean cultures.”
Deborah
“I took part in the trip to Buenos Aires led by Nathalie in February 2023. I found the trip very well organised, and I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to visit some exceptional Milongas, clearly off the beaten tourist track. The organiser’s many years on the ground gave her the necessary connections in the rather select world of Buenos Aires tango.”
